The Business Promotion Bank of the Federal State of Brandenburg (ILB) supports peptides&elephants with enlarging its production site in Hennigsdorf

Sixteen years ago, peptides&elephants was founded at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam-Rehbrücke. Today, the Brandenburg-based company is one of Europe's leading suppliers of synthetic peptides. peptides&elephants' proprietary technology for the highly parallel production of synthetic peptides enables it to produce large quantities in a particularly quick and efficient way. Its customers include pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, public research institutes, and R&D departments in the food and cosmetics industries.

As part of their expanded business model, whereby they convert from being only a supplier for research and development to also being a peptide manufacturer for personalized cancer therapy, peptides&elephants is currently enlarging its production site. In April 2017, they relocated their laboratory and business premises from the Science Park Potsdam-Golm to the co:bios Technology Centre in Hennigsdorf. The Technology Center offers ideal conditions for the first production of personalized peptide therapeutics according to international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. ILB supports peptides&elephants with the enlargement of the new location as part of a program for the improvement of regional economic structures (GRW).

Background: As the main promotional institute ILB supports the State of Brandenburg and other public authorities in the performance of their tasks. ILB's core business is the promotion of public and private investment projects in trade and industry, labour and the infrastructure and housing construction. GRW program supports Brandenburg enterprises with, among other things, enlarging business locations. The program is funded in equal parts from the national budget, as well as the Federal State of Brandenburg’s budget.
