Description

KPTLKEYVL is a linear peptide epitope (epitope ID 1330506) derived from amino acids 5 to 13 of the E7 oncoprotein (UniProt:P03129) of Human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV 16). This peptide has been identified as a CD8⁺ T cell epitope restricted by HLA-B*07:02, making it a valuable tool for studying antigen-specific cellular immune responses, particularly in the context of HPV-related malignancies.

The E7 protein of HPV 16 is a key driver of cellular transformation and viral genome replication. It promotes the entry of resting cells into the S phase of the cell cycle.
